Recipe: The Bloody Beetroot

Most shy away from adding raw beetroot in their smoothies but don’t listen to them! Beetroot is not only a super tasty addition to smoothies, but it’s also choc-full of goodness. Raw beetroot has been shown to increase exercise performance, lower blood pressure and improve blood flow.

This smoothie combines the goodness of beetroot with other heart-healthy super foods for a seriously delicious morning boost! This recipe makes two filling smoothies.

Blend the following:
– 1 cup water
– handful of ice
– 1 beetroot, cut into quarters
– a few strawberries
– 1 tablespoon Naked Greens
– 1 tablespoon Hemp Seeds
– 2 pitted dates

Serve into two glasses and sprinkle some Goji’s or Bee Pollen on top.
